Advertising Sales Intern
DESCRIPTION:

The advertising intern will be responsible for assisting the advertising sales department with researching/prospecting new clients. It is essential to be a highly motivated self-starter with a strong interest in learning music related advertising.

Primary tasks would be related to researching and contacting prospective clients with online and offline media.


Responsibilities:

  • Researching client leads
  • Combine scripting and selling skills to generate prospect information and create interest in our services.
  • Maintaining online media kit/sales tools
  • Updating and maintaining reports
  • Receiving calls and answering telephones in a professional manner  
  • Maintaining and updating account database
  • Executing client mailings
     

Requirements:

  • Skilled in Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel)
  • Strong communication, phone, and follow up skills.
  • Persistent
  • Highly organized
  • Personal accountability and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to complete projects independently and in a team environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail
     
  • High-Speed Internet Access required
This is a hands-on position, requiring the candidate to multi-task, display excellent organization and communication skills and be a team player. This is an entry-level position that provides a great way to break into the role of an advertising account executive in the music industry.

The intern will work directly with the Marketing Director.
This internship requires a minimum of 10 hours per week and is paid a commission based on new accounts established.
