Special Projects

Women in Music National Network sponsors a number of special projects throughout the year that support the membership, community or youth related programs.  These projects are design to provide visibility and recognition to the membership while providing education and entertainment to communities.

Grants & Funding

WIMNN researches available grant and funding opportunities and shares this information with members as it becomes available.  We will provide you with submission criteria and funding deadlines.

WIMMN has plans to introduce a grant program for the year 2008 that will fund recording projects.

Youth Programs

WIMNN sponsors various youth related projects in an effort to keep music programs alive in the schools and provide kids with the opportunity to explore different areas of music .  We invite members to participate in these programs as we strive to make music education available to students.  WIMNN will send out announcements when  projects are being coordinated.

Our youth related projects include:

  • School Tours
  • Summer music camps
  • Workshops
  • Internships

Women in Music Concert Series

WIMNN concert series are concert events performed at different venues to showcase talent.  Shows are performed live and streamed over the internet to promote the artist to a wide audience.  Artists will also have the opportunity to promote their CD and merchandise at the venue and on the internet.

Workshops, Roundtables, and Conferences

WIMNN periodically sponsors workshops and roundtable discussions for members to network and share valuable industry information.  Workshops will feature industry trends, career development, business tools and more.  Roundtable sessions are facilitated discussions where issues are brought to the forefront that we can shed more light on, find solutions and talk through to gain a better understanding.  Guest speakers are sometimes brought in for these events to share their knowledge and experience.

TV and Radio Shows

We're working on bringing WIMNN to TV and Radio.  Stay tuned for announcements in the near future.
