Teens 4 Health Awareness is
a unique project designed to educate teens about health and fitness and
motivate them to develop healthy habits that will last a lifetime.
It addresses the childhood/teen obesity issue that has grown to pandemic
proportions and places our youth at risk of developing chronic problems
such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and other ailments related to
obesity.
Teens 4 Health Awareness
uses music events to educate teens about the daunting array
of health risks they face related to obesity and inactivity. The
goal is to
inspire teens to add proper nutrition and physical activity to their daily
routine to create healthy, centered and confident lifestyles.
Women in Music National Network
,
Multicultural Youth-In-Action (MYIA) and Club VIP for Teens programs, have teamed up to promote the
Teen 4 Health Awareness Project tour to schools,
youth organizations and communities across the nation. The program will
feature music (the universal language) and workshops that address a
variety of health issues.
