Women In Music National Network Purpose:
The National Network for Women in Music is
a non-profit 501(c)(3) membership organization designed to promote the recognition of
women in music through services, education and networking resources. Our goal is to help encourage
and support the activities of women in all areas of music.

opportunities for women in the music industry.

grow successful music careers and businesses through vital
information and creative management strategies.

services and resources to take music careers to the next
level.

advancement of women in the field of music through
networking opportunities & educational forums.

Background
Women In Music National Network was
originally founded in 1993 by Karen Jackson and O'Hara Smith to create a networking base
for women in the music industry. It has since been reorganized as a non-profit 501(c)(3)
organization to better support research efforts and opportunities for women in music.
Member services, donations and sponsorships
are used to support the organization's goals and functions which include our website,
seminars, mentor programs, newsletter and a variety of other activities.
